There is a lot of variety here when it comes to food, partly due to the large number of visitors from other parts of Peru and other parts of the world. There are a few international restaurant chains in Cuzco, including McDonald’s, KFC, and Starbucks. There are many pizza restaurants and Chifas, which serve Chinese-Peruvian food. Cuzquenian food can be found all over as well.

Generally Cusco is a very safe city. One thing to avoid is taking people’s pictures without asking. Avoid sunburn by using sun lotion, since the sun can get very strong here due to the altitude.

The temperature can vary here, and in the day time it is often quite hot and sunny but it gets cold at night. During the rainy season it rains almost every day. There are usually not extreme temperatures in Cuzco, and even though it can be hot and cold the same day, it normally does not get much below freezing and it normally does not get very hot.
