Have you ever done biking in an exotic destination as Peru? The Maras and Moray Biking Tour will give you a full experience in a mountain bike. You will go trough Andean landscapes to the Moray Archaeological Centre and the salt mines in Maras.
Moray is an experimental inca center for agriculture. Its circular terraces of Inca agriculture were suitable for harvesting several kinds of plants. Maras is salt mine that has hundred of small wells of 5 km2. The salt is extracted by a drying process used since the Inca time.

Maras Moray Biking Tour – One Day Tour
Visit the more important agricultural centers of the Inca Empire: the experimental center of Moray and the salt mines of Maras. The first was used as a laboratory where the Inca people tried to cultivate all kind of plants. Maras salt mine is composed of thousands of salt wells where people from nowadays use a drying process to get the salt. The same process as Inca people used back in their time.
MARAS MORAY BIKING TOUR – ITINERARY
You wil be picked form your hotel at 8:30 in the morning. We will get to Cruzpata at 9:00 and will start the biking tour here. Throughout the road you will see Andean hills, traditional flora and people with typical clothes.
Once we get to Moray, our first destination, the guide will take you by the circular terraces. Later we will get to Maras where you can take outstanding pictures of the salt wells! The last destination is Urubamba city. A bus will take us back to Cusco.
